It shouldn't be too much of a surprise that the Internet has evolved into a force strong enough to reflect the greatest hopes and fears of those who use it. After all, it was designed to withstand nuclear war, not just the puny huffs and puffs of politicians and religious fanatics.

The Web Design Process

We want you to know what to expect and be comfortable with the whole web design process. Because this is a partnership, it is important to us that you know and understand what is going on. We encourage you to ask questions. We will keep in touch with you via phone or email through each of the following stages.
  • The Consultation

This is a crucial step. We need to get to know as much about you and your business as possible. And, of course, you want to evaluate us. If you are local, we like to meet face to face. If you are a national client, this consultation will take place over the phone. We ask that you read and reflect on the Web Design Worksheet before we begin. We also like to get any current written materials you have about your business. We'll talk about your goals and start formulating a design concept. We will leave you with or send to you a Web Design Contract to look over which will specify exactly what you will be getting and a price for those services.
  • The Wait

This is the hardest part for us because we really want your business, but we respect that you didn't build your business by making snap decisions and need time to think the proposal over. We hope to hear from you. Design begins as soon as we get a signed copy of the contract and half of the design fee.

  • The Mock Up

This is when things really start moving. We produce a mockup version of the main page of the website and will put it up on our server. You will be able to see and approve the layout. At this point any changes or redesigns you want are done free of charge. We will keep working until you are absolutely pleased with the layout. We know the website will be the first interaction some people have with your business and needs to represent you perfectly.

  • The Framework

As soon as you sign off on the mockup, we will frame out all the pages of your website including graphic placement and forms. We will continue to post all changes so you can keep up with the development of your website.

  • Copy Writing

We can use your existing copy or we can help you write the best content for your pages. Writing for the internet is different, and we know it may not come naturally for some people. We can give you some guidelines and tips so you can write the content yourself or we can write it for you. There is an additional fee billed at our regular rate. We will give you a written estimate before we begin.

  • Final Version

When your website is complete we will notify you that it is ready for delivery. This is kind of like a last walk-thru. Take a look around the site. Once you have signed off, we will deliver your completed website to you.

  • Delivery

We will upload your completed site to the host of your choice or deliver the files to you on CD, whichever you prefer. Once delivery has been made, we will invoice you for the remaining balance.
